She tried not to think about how it tingled. When he leaned close, she felt his breath against her neck. Robin was startled when Cormoran put his hand on her, hoping he didn’t notice her unthinking reflex of flinching. Yes, the man had every right, but it was part of their cover that they appeared to be a couple, isn’t it? He took the near-empty drink off Robin’s hand, lightly put his hand on the small of her back and leaned in very close to her so that he could whisper, “I’ll take a look around.” “Think I better do it,” Strike declared, deliberately possessively, not liking the way the doctor seemed to be trying to flirt with him standing right next to her. “Yes, aren’t they excellent?” The doctor was now looking at Robin with much interest.
